Roy Magno
Partner and Chief Operating Officer
Roy Magno’s professionalism and success are rooted in his resilience and passionate spirit. Before joining T. Wilson, he built and led multiple businesses across various industries, establishing a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and management.
Transitioning to public service after a series of successful ventures, Roy served as Mayor of Aubrey. This experience deepened his understanding of the complex interplay between public and private interests, allowing him to collaborate effectively with council members, commissioners, mayors, and judges. His ability to analyze deals from both sides of the table has been instrumental in navigating the dynamics between developers and municipalities, consistently producing results where others have struggled.
After Roy left office, together he and Kirk recognized the value they could bring to the financial and strategic aspects of real estate development. As partners, they form the leadership of T. Wilson, approaching challenges with a solution mindset. Their business philosophy centers on creative problem-solving, disciplined execution, and an unwavering commitment to client success. Together, they have implemented unique capital solutions, including:
- Created the Development Mortgage-Backed Securities (DMBS) financing vehicle to provide capital repaid by future project revenues.
- Pioneered loans and sales against reimbursement agreements, and monetizing revenue streams including Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) revenues, impact fees, and capital recovery fees.
In his role, Roy leads discussions with clients and public officials, fostering critical relationships to ensure transparency and cooperation among all parties involved in projects. He also oversees day-to-day operations, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency. Roy’s dedication is evident in the attention he brings to every project. He believes his legacy will be reflected in the ongoing success of T. Wilson employees and the achievements of the clients he serves.
