We first want to thank you for your service to the public.
25 Years ago I left public service and I respect anyone that is willing to serve. I have carried with me an awareness of the considerations you have as public servants. Everyone at my company recognizes and respects your responsibility to the public. In that light, we try to focus on our “mission” and respect the give and take of good faith negotiations.
Our company has a mission.
That mission is to help promote quality development wherever we go. That can only occur if we follow through and make a fair deal for both the developer and the local government that may be involved with approvals.
Our company has traditionally had a really interesting position in the planning and negotiation of new master planned communities. We deal with landowners, developers, builders, investors and public sector officials at all levels of government and approval authority.
Ideally, all of us have to work together to produce a quality result, because at the end of the day, we all have a common client: the future homeowner.
That new homeowner needs to know they are moving into a new home that:
- Is in a safe community with police & fire service they can count on.
- Has reliable water and wastewater services.
- Is in a community that has thoughtful design and amenity features that serves their interest.
- Is priced at a point they can live comfortably
Keeping your community safe, providing quality utility services, and common sense planning as you grow is likely at the top of your list as you work with new development opportunities We recognize that.
Many of these negotiations are “challenging” and could be “tough” at times. We find clear communication is one of the keys to our success.
We try to “listen” to local leaders and come to fair agreements on key points as we move through the negotiation process. We work not from a “legal” posture, but from a “practical” one. We seek to find solutions that work for all parties.
We may not always get everything we want and the government may not either. But, at the end of our negotiation, we want both parties to be “proud” of the results.
Our team looks forward to the opportunity to work with you on development so that we can all continue to provide new housing and commercial development opportunities for our growing population.
